Dells Country Historical Society and Bowman House Museum

Step into this home of yesterday... Antique decor, resorted wooden floors. The residence, built at the turn of the century, is an example of Prairie Style architecture. Now the site of the Dells Country Historical Society, it was a vacation home for working women from the late 1930s to the mid 1970s. It houses General Joseph Bailey’s Thanks of Congress and commendation by Abraham Lincoln for Bailey’s Civil War feats in saving the Union Flotilla on the Red River.

This lovely home retains a „lived in„ quality with authentic antiques furnishings and memorabilia.
